The Department at Hudson’s
The Department at Hudson’s is a collection of event spaces and conference rooms that spans three floors and more than 56,000 square feet, with the ability to host gatherings up to 2,000 guests. This hospitality-centric environment celebrates Hudson's as a global destination that brings people together & inspires innovation. Furniture specification treats the venue like a living set, built around modular furniture that gives the client the freedom to change without losing a sense of place. Additionally, care was taken to select inclusive furniture that can support a wide range of abilities for end users. Lounge groupings are composed as moveable islands that can open for circulation or tighten into conversation. Tables and soft seating are selected for comfort, durability, and the quiet discipline of proportion, so the room feels composed whether it is set for a board meeting or a conference. The palette stays warm and grounded, enhancing the brilliance of the architecture and natural light. The Department ultimately serves as a backdrop for the host, with functionality and simplicity as core principles.
