When Franco, an integrated communications agency, learned their longtime office would be redeveloped, they faced an unexpected challenge: how do you leave a workplace your team truly loves? Having designed their original office years earlier, we were excited to partner with them again to create their next home. Working within an accelerated timeline and a sustainable approach, our focus was centered on preserving what already worked well for them within the existing office. Rather than replacing everything, we reused existing furniture, refreshed key pieces, and adapted the new space to support the way the team already worked.

Located in Detroit's historic Palms Building on Woodward Avenue, the office overlooks Ford Field and Comerica Park, placing Franco in the center of the city's vibrant entertainment district. The location reflects the creative energy of both the agency and its people. As Franco introduced a refreshed brand identity, we developed new environmental graphics that carried their story into the new space. Updated finishes, graphics, and carefully selected accents created a workplace that feels contemporary while maintaining the timeless qualities that made the original office so successful.

Our role extended beyond design. Throughout the move, we worked closely with the client to make quick onsite decisions, coordinate the transition, and keep the project moving on schedule. The collaborative process felt seamless, thanks to the shared hands-on approach of both teams. The result is proof that a workplace transformation doesn't always require starting over. By building upon a strong foundation, we created a refreshed office that reflects Franco's evolving brand identity while still feeling familiar, welcoming, and unmistakably theirs.
