The Belle
The Belle blends the charm of the past with a modern, refined edge. In partnership with Bedrock Detroit, Pophouse played a critical role in building the world of The Belle, from naming and brand identity to the community spaces and unit design. Inspiration was drawn from the building's 1920s heritage, honoring its history with thoughtful, nostalgic details. At the same time, The Belle has a polished, sophisticated feel that brings a touch of luxury and eccentricity. Playful colors and bold design choices influenced by couture fashion add a fresh, avant-garde vibe. The result is a distinctive, magnetic space that feels both timeless and one-of-a-kind. Inviting, captivating, and impossible to forget.
Neutral patterning runs through transitional spaces, providing balance to the saturated palette within the community space and mock unit. Gold leaf detailing and checkerboard motifs woven throughout the digital and physical experience add the kind of texture that makes a space feel collected and lived in over time. Staging leans into the narrative of eclectic maximalism, allowing more trend-forward accessories to harmonize with classic furniture pieces and fine art.
